Founded in Brisbane in 1987, Employer Services (ES) is one of Australia’s leading industrial relations and human resources consulting firms, assisting thousands of clients across the country.  Our clients span all sectors and vary in size from small businesses employing one person to very large organisations employing thousands.  Every client is important to us.  We’d like to think that’s a big part of the reason why so many of our clients have been with us for 20 years or more.

ES Directors

Mr Gil Muir is a Director with over 40 years’ experience.  He is widely respected across business and unions.  Gil has been involved in some of the most significant industrial matters in Queensland’s history, including multiple pay equity cases and major strikes. He commenced his career in industrial relations as a Commissioner’s Associate in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission in 1971.  Gil has previously lectured on industrial relations at a tertiary level and held senior roles in the public and private sectors.

Mr Chris Muir is a Director with close to two decades of experience advising employers.  He has significant experience in enterprise bargaining and dismissal matters having represented hundreds of clients as an industrial advocate in matters before federal and state industrial relations and anti-discrimination tribunals including Fair Work Commission, Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, Queensland Anti-Discrimination Commission.  Chris has specific expertise in the industries of education, social and community services, construction, health, meat processing, hospitality, and children’s services.  Chris holds a masters degree in employment relations.
